Higher Education Administration Concentrations

Curriculum & Concentrations

The MS in Higher Education Administration requires the completion of ten (10) three-credit courses (30 credits total) and a final portfolio that documents students’ completion of the program’s learning outcomes. All courses are eight weeks long and are offered entirely online.

Select a concentration as you earn your higher education administration graduate degree:

  1. Enrollment Management -
Deepen your knowledge and skills in marketing and communications for enrollment management, predictive modeling, technology innovations, financial aid strategy, student retention, and strategic enrollment planning.
  2. Administrative Leadership -
Learn to lead.  Higher education needs leaders who problem-solve, show empathy, embrace critical thinking and are innovators.
  3. Institutional Advancement -
Advancement is one of the pillars of a college or university. Fundraising, alumni development, donor cultivation, corporate and foundation relations, and stewardship are just a few skills needed to make a mark in this area.
  4. Online Teaching & Program Administration -
Online curriculum development, instructional design, online teaching–be part of this growing area. Recently released fall 2021 IPEDS data reveals the % of students enrolled only in distance education was nearly double the percentage in 2017-30.4% vs. 15.7%.
