Dear friends of Bay Path,
We have exciting news to share!
Today, the Boards of Bay Path University and Cambridge College announced that Bay Path has entered into a formal agreement to acquire Cambridge College.
This acquisition will build upon our aligned values and missions in service to students and will leverage the respective strengths of each institution. Like at Bay Path, Cambridge strives to be a leader in empowering students – especially those for whom higher education opportunities are too often out of reach -- to realize their dreams of a better career, a richer life, and a brighter future.
This transformative move will help unlock Bay Path’s potential in critical ways:
- Our presence will spread as we add two instructional locations: one in the greater Boston region and one in Puerto Rico. Our online presence will also increase as we integrate Cambridge College Global into Bay Path.
- Our enrollment will soar to 5,000 students including a growing international population.
- As we continue to focus on access, equality, and support for our growing community of Hispanic students, we will learn from the experiences of Cambridge College, a designated Hispanic Serving Institution.
- We will expand program offerings to our students by adding over 50 of Cambridge College’s graduate programs focused on education, business, and health.
- We will generate opportunity through Cambridge’s Business-to-Business model and workforce development expertise.
The decision to acquire Cambridge College is undoubtedly one of the biggest and boldest steps in Bay Path’s history! It is also important to note that Bay Path’s undergraduate programs, delivered on ground at the Longmeadow Campus and through The American Women’s College will remain all women.
Thank you for your support of Bay Path and we hope that you share the excitement we feel about the future. Our aspirations are driven by Bay Path’s very DNA: the spirit of innovation and determination that has guided us for 127 years!
