Professor Troyakov received his BA and MA degrees in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. He received a doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a Concentration in Forensic Psychology from William James College. 

Professor Troyakov is currently employed by the state of Connecticut working in the community with those who have been diagnosed with a severe and persistent mental illness. His interests include psychological assessment, psychosis, early intervention, young adult issues, and risk identification/management.
