"The Nonprofit Sector continues to be a significant contributor to the US economy as the third largest employer . Wages in the nonprofit sector are competitive making it a great opportunity for a wide-range of people with a diverse set of skills." - Sylvia de Haas-Phillips, Program Director

According to the Johns Hopkins Center for Civil Society Studies
2019 NONPROFIT EMPLOYMENT REPORT the nonprofit sector is:
Reliable for Job Growth: Between 2007 and 2016, the number of jobs created by U.S. nonprofits grew by 16.7%, nearly four times faster than the country’s for-profit businesses.
The Third Largest Workforce: With 12.3 million paid workers, nonprofits thus employ more workers than a number of major U.S.
