Kevin Barlowski

KEVIN BARLOWSKI  is the Director of Theatre and Performance Studies at Bay Path University, where he most recently directed Little Women, Winnie the Pooh and Once on This Island. Working extensively as a director, music director, educator, actor and accompanist throughout Massachusetts, New York and Connecticut, he has had the distinct privilege of pairing with Playhouse on Park, Goodspeed Opera House, the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts, Broadway for a New America, Anna Maria College, Hall High School, Good Company Theatre and Unified Theater. As a Theatre Arts instructor in the Hartford and West Hartford school districts for several years, Kevin directed such shows as A Year with Frog and Toad, Freckleface Strawberry, The Importance of Being Earnest, Miss Nelson is Missing!, A Flea in Her Ear, Bunnicula, and The Main Street Kids Club. He has also musically directed numerous productions for the middle, high school and collegiate demographic, including Sweeney Todd, Oliver, Guys and Dolls, Nunsense and Little Shop of Horrors. As an actor, favorite roles include Leaf Coneybear in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Woof in Hair, Bobby/Emcee Understudy in Cabaret, Caldwell B. Cladwell in Urinetown, Lysander/Francis Flute/First Fairy in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Daniel in The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), which he toured throughout Thailand. Kevin is a graduate of Circle in the Square Theatre School’s Musical Theatre Program in New York City, holds a B.A. in Theatre Education from Emerson College and is an active member of ATHE.
