A Flexible Mathematics Education Program for Teachers and Career Changers
Enrolling Now for the August 31st Start
Our Master's in Mathematics (5-8 or 8-12) program explores the concepts, language and procedures of mathematics. You'll advance your math education and develop your ability to apply mathematics to the middle school and high school learners around you.
This program is designed for adults who want to help children learn the language of mathematics, current teachers who wish to add mathematics as a new subject area, and those wishing to become National Board Certified mathematics teachers, coaches, specialists and directors.
It’s also a good fit for non-mathematics majors who wish to broaden their teaching careers, as well as for career changers seeking a rewarding job that involves teaching children mathematics. Available in licensure and non-licensure options, the program is approved by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education but currently offers licensure only to students in Massachusetts.
Our MSEd in Mathematics Degree has four program options:
- Professional Licensure: For students seeking Massachusetts Initial Licensure in grades 5-8
- Non-Licensure: For students seeking the MEd degree without licensure in grades 5-8
- Professional Licensure: For students seeking Massachusetts Initial Licensure in grades 8-12
- Non-Licensure: For students seeking the MEd degree without licensure in grades 8-12
