The Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, offered through Cambridge College Boston at Bay Path University, prepares you to become a skilled, compassionate mental health counselor equipped to support individuals, families, and communities. This graduate program combines evidence-based counseling theory with hands-on clinical training to help you develop the knowledge and practical skills needed to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of mental health concerns.

Throughout the program, you'll study current counseling theories, ethical practice, trauma-informed care, multicultural counseling, and evidence-based interventions while gaining supervised clinical experience. Whether you aspire to work in community mental health, hospitals, schools, private practice, or other behavioral healthcare settings, you'll graduate prepared to provide effective, client-centered care and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve.

Our 100% online format is predominantly asynchronous. However, to meet state LMHC eligibility requirements, we have a few courses requiring synchronous meetings for experiences such as group supervision. 

Our MS  in Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program:

• Has concentrations in Advanced Trauma-Informed Counseling, School Adjustment Counseling, and Alcohol & Drug Use Counseling
• Prepares graduates for the opportunity to sit for the licensing examination and apply for licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) for the state of Massachusetts, and parallel licenses, such as the LPC in Connecticut and other states
