Admissions Requirements

Prospective students may apply for admission to the Graduate Certificate programs year-round.


For consideration, applicants must submit the following to the Office of Graduate Admissions (the same admissions requirements apply to students who will enroll in only one course):

  1. A completed application - Apply Now 
  2. Official undergraduate and graduate transcripts (undergraduate degree must be from an accredited college or university)
  3. Applicants must submit a copy of their current Occupational Therapy License
  4. An original essay of at least 250 words on the topic: “Why A Graduate Certificate in Advanced Occupational Therapy Practice is important to my personal and professional goals"
  5. A current resume

Can I apply my certificate coursework toward a doctoral degree?

Yes - students can complete the certificate program or apply their coursework toward Bay Path University's Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) program or Doctor of Health Science - advanced occupational therapy practice concentration.
