Profile

Lisa M. Ruch, PhD, associate professor of English and Communications and director of the Communications and Information Technology Program, joined Bay Path College in 2000. She teaches courses in literature, writing, and film studies.

Her area of specialization is medieval literature, especially the vague line between legend and history of the Middle Ages. Other research interests include manuscripts and paleography, Arthuriana, British literature, and comparative literature.

Dr. Ruch holds a master’s degree in English from Indiana University and a doctoral degree in comparative literature from Pennsylvania State University. She is a member of the Medieval Academy of America, the Medieval Chronicle Society, the Early English Text Society, the International Arthurian Society, and the American Comparative Literature Association.

In her spare time, Dr. Ruch enjoys working with her and others’ horses, and singing with the Pioneer Valley Cappella, a choral ensemble based in Northampton, MA.
