Dr. Lewis has focused her career on identifying and developing programs to meet the needs of the adult learner. She has approximately 20 years of higher education administrative and teaching experience. Dr. Lewis has a strong background educating students at the undergraduate and graduate levels, both online and on campus, in the areas of business, organizational behavior, organizational management, human resource management, business communications, critical thinking, career development, and cultural diversity.
Part of her higher education background includes examining new and emerging technologies to deliver educational programs from a faculty and adult learner perspective. She has presented her distance online education research at numerous conferences. Dr. Lewis has also served as an instructional designer, business consultant, and trainer.
Dr. Lewis holds an MS in Training and Development with a minor in Organizational Development from Loyola University in Chicago. She earned her EdD in Adult Education with a distance online education research emphasis from Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama. She served as Associate Director for the Center for Continuing and Professional Studies at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Lewis is currently completing the coursework for a certificate in Policy and Management in Distance Education and E-Learning at the University of Maryland, University College.
