Transition Specialist Certificate

Bay Path's Transition Specialist Certificate is designed to prepare educational and school counseling professionals for careers within education and related fields to promote successful transition planning and services for students with disabilities through K12 and into young adulthood.

This certificate program requires the successful completion of four (3 credits each) required courses totaling 12 credit hours.

Admission Requirements

For consideration, applicants must submit the following documents to the Office of Graduate Admissions: 

1. A completed application - Apply Now
2. Official undergraduate and graduate transcripts (the required undergraduate degree must be from a college or university whose accreditation is recognized by NEASC, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 based on a 4.0 scale)
3. An original essay of at least 250 words on the topic: “Why A Graduate Certificate in Transition Specialist Certificate is important to my personal and professional goals."
4. A current résumé

Official Transcripts:

Official transcripts must be sent directly to Bay Path's Graduate Admissions Office from the issuing institution's records office either by mail or through a secure electronic transcript service (such as Parchment or National Clearinghouse). For transcripts sent through a secure transcript service, please select Bay Path University from the vendor's dropdown list to ensure the transcript is routed to the correct place. If an email address is requested, you can route to graduate@baypath.edu. Transcripts sent from the student are unofficial and will not be accepted.
