Bay Path University’s Elementary Education (1-6) Professional Licensure Certificate is designed for educators seeking to gain expertise in the area of literacy instruction and advance their Massachusetts initial teaching license to professional status. Completion of this 12-credit certificate program prepares educators to position themselves in their organizations as knowledgeable of current trends and best practices related to the science of reading. Furthermore, the certificate program provides educators with applicable learning experiences embedded within the theories of practice presented within the program’s courses.

Prospective students may apply for admission to the Graduate Certificate programs throughout the year.
For consideration, applicants must submit the following to the Office of Graduate Admissions (the same admissions requirements apply to students who will enroll in only one course):

Official transcripts must be sent directly to Bay Path's Graduate Admissions Office from the issuing institution's records office either by mail or through a secure electronic transcript service (such as Parchment or National Clearinghouse). For transcripts sent through a secure transcript service, please select Bay Path University from the vendor's dropdown list to ensure the transcript is routed to the correct place. If an email address is requested, you can route to graduate@baypath.edu. Transcripts sent from the student are unofficial and will not be accepted.
