Commencement at Bay Path

CONGRATULATIONS, GRADUATES!

Bay Path University’s 118th Commencement will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015, at the MassMutual Center Arena, 1277 Main Street, Springfield, Massachusetts. The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:00 p.m. and is expected to last two and one-half hours.

Sign language interpretation will be available during the event. A live webcast via the University’s website will also be available for those unable to attend the ceremony in person.

OUR COMMENCEMENT SPEAKER

Jennifer Lesser Henley, Director of Security Operations at Facebook, to be Commencement Speaker at Bay Path University on May 9.Jennifer Henley, Director of Security Operations at Facebook, will be the featured speaker and will receive an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters degree at Bay Path University’s 118th Commencement. Over 800 students will be receiving master and bachelor’s degrees, and will include among this number the first graduating class of The American Women’s College Online.

In her current role, Henley is responsible for operational excellence, organizational management, and program management for the Facebook Security team. A jack of all trades, she also runs internal and external security awareness and outreach efforts, most notably, Facebook’s popular “Hacktober” events for National Cyber Security Awareness Month. Jenn is also deeply passionate about attracting and retaining a diverse set of talent to the security industry. Prior to her employment at Facebook, Jenn was Chief of Staff for the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at PayPal. She has over 15 years of industry experience, holds her PMP certification and is a graduate of St. Mary’s College of California where she received a B.A. in Communications.

York Mayo, a retired executive at American Saw & Manufacturing Company in East Longmeadow, MA, and a compassionate leader and well-known project fundraiser in Springfield, will also receive an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters degree during the ceremony. Mr. Mayo continues to make an indelible mark on our area communities, whether by leading the charge at Girls' Inc., building neighborhoods for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Springfield, or celebrating the richness of diversity by bringing the Springfield area community together through music and song with his Unity Festival Vocal Music Concert.
