How often do you awake in the morning and take for granted getting out of bed, putting the water on for coffee, and running a brush through your hair? They're simple but necessary tasks essential to your everyday routine and independence. But if you've had an accident, a stroke, or an event that has impaired your physical or mental capabilities, such movements as these may be frustrating or embarrassing. Occupational therapy makes it possible for people facing such challenges to regain or acquire daily living skills needed to engage in meaningful activities that change lives.
Health service professionals are in high demand in the current job market with a particular shortage of occupational therapists! It is a great time to enroll in Bay Path College's Master of Occupational Therapy program. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, employment of occupational therapists is expected to increase 23% or more through 2016.
Our Master of Occupational Therapy program is designed for individuals who are not occupational therapists, the M.O.T. is an entry-level full-time (2 years) or part-time (4 years) program for students who have an undergraduate degree, and now desire to pursue a career in the field of occupational therapy. Completion of this degree allows students to sit for the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) and become a Registered Occupational Therapist.
Our Faculty
The faculty in the Master of Occupational Therapy program adheres to a learning philosophy that is active, collaborative, and supportive.
