Cassidy Nuccio '21

Within each of our students is an inspirational story of perseverance and strength, and we are honored to share them with our Bay Path community. This narrative originally appeared as part of Bay Path's Commencement 2021 on social media.

Cassidy Nuccio will be graduating in May with a double major in forensic science and biology. She’s currently applying to become a Connecticut state police officer with an ultimate goal of one day being a detective in the Major Crimes Unit or an FBI agent. Cassidy believes what she learned at Bay Path has helped to make the job application process seamless.

“The most important thing that Bay Path has done to help prepare me is increase my organization skills and my confidence presenting,” she says. “The application and interview process is nothing more than a presentation of yourself and being able to put forth qualities that make you the best candidate. Thanks to Bay Path and my program here, I think I’ve developed the necessary confidence and skills to appropriately and successfully market myself to future employers.”

Cassidy encourages future students to be unafraid of challenging themselves. For her, this meant pursuing a degree in STEM.

“The classes may be harder than you expected, and the grade received may not always be the grade you wanted, but always keep your head up because if it was easy, everyone would do it. And remember that you are never alone. There are always resources available to help you succeed if you take the time to ask.”
