According to the National Center for Educational Statistics (2018) approximately 13% of K12 students in Massachusetts are English Learners with Disabilities and this percentage is only going to rise as more and more English Learners are filling our classrooms. NCES (2018), indicates that 43 states service between 6 and 19.4% of English Learners with Disabilities. The ability of general education, special education, and ESL educators to work collaboratively together is critical. When educators can work collaboratively together the better the results for this unique population will be.
