About Our Presenter

Dr. Sherian Wilmot-Carter clinically practices as a Family Nurse Practitioner with Ascension Sacred Heart Health System, where she has been awarded 5-star provider ratings within her first year of clinical practice with the company and the next consecutive year after. Before becoming a Nurse Practitioner, she garnered over 12 years of nursing experience in various clinical settings. Dr. Wilmot-Carter is an honors graduate from the University of South Alabama and received an undergraduate nursing degree from Northwest Florida State College.

Her clinical areas of expertise include obesity medicine and diagnosing and treating other acute and chronic diseases across the lifespan. She has experience with teaching undergraduate and graduate students, along with clinically preparing graduate students for the workforce.
