Chillin' Out in the Summertime

Chillin' Out Summer Program

Day program for boys and girls entering grades 6-11 in the fall of 2019. Program Dates: June 24 – June 28, 2019

Our Program:

All teens experience stress that comes along with adolescence, but levels of anxiety are alarmingly on the rise for middle and high school students. At Camp Chillin’ Out, graduate occupational therapy students run a wide variety of activities to help teens of all genders build self-esteem and learn a variety of coping skills. Through a combination of indoor and outdoor activities, both physically active and psychologically contemplative, campers learn more about themselves and gain skills to interact with new peers. Activities include cooperative games, artistic creation of mood-enhancing kits, mindfulness nature walk, team building tasks, and more. A previous camper says it all: “we do lots of calming things and it’s awesome!”
