Moderate Disabilities 5-12 Initial Licensure

Coursework for the Moderate Disabilities (Levels 5-12) program provides practitioners with age-appropriate strategies for educating students with disabilities in the least restrictive environment. Bay Path's Moderate Disabilities 5-12 Initial Licensure program focuses on current issues in special education. It also focuses on best practices for inclusive education, including law, nondiscriminatory assessment, issues of cultural and linguistic diversity, classroom and behavioral adaptations, integration of new technologies and collaboration with families and service providers.

This program includes a yearlong practicum and is for students seeking Massachusetts Initial Licensure in Moderate Disabilities (Levels 5-12).

Curriculum information can be found in our online graduate course catalog.

The Special Education Non-Licensure concentration also requires 36 credit hours but does not require a practicum or internship experience.
