Spring Semester 2021 Update

Hello Wildcats and your families!

We hope you all are safe and healthy, and relaxing over break. The Bay Path campus is quiet and we are missing each and every one of you. While we hope your time away from campus brings you relaxation and peace, the Spring semester will be here before we know it!

If you need to be in touch with a member of the Bay Path staff, please know that campus will be closed from 12/24/2020-1/3/2021. All emails and voicemails that are received during that time period will be answered promptly when our offices reopen on January 4, 2021.

For the upcoming Spring semester, students should be prepared to begin their coursework on January 19, 2021. In order to keep our campus community as safe as possible, please note the updated return to campus procedures as we continue to endure the COVID-19 pandemic.

For the well-being of all members of our community, the Bay Path COVID Command team has determined that all students, faculty and staff (who need to be on campus for any reason) will be required to be tested every 7 days through the month of January. Please note: all students who will be tested during the spring semester must complete an updated COVID-19 Testing Consent Form, as the current forms expire on December 31, 2020. The consent period for the new form is January 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021, so students only need to complete this form once per year, and not each time they are tested.

Please log into the Bay Path Portal and click on the COVID-19 Testing Consent button to sign a new form (see the picture below).

Prior to returning to campus for the Spring semester, all students must have a negative COVID test within 72 hours of arriving on campus. Depending on when a student plans to return to campus, this may require you to test at home and upload your results to Medicat, prior to returning to campus.

Specific instructions regarding the return to campus process for residential students will be sent out from the Office of Residential Life and Learning. Residential students should plan to move back to campus on Sunday, January 17, 2021. Please continue to check your Bay Path email account throughout winter break, as this is where all updates will be sent.

After move-in, all students will be retested on Monday, January, 18, 2021, and will be required to remain in quarantine until receiving a negative COVID test result.
