Professional Licensure Disclosure: Accounting

Accounting

Bay Path University offers accounting programs at the bachelor’s and master’s levels designed to help students prepare to sit for the Uniform Certified Public Accounting Exam. Please note that students cannot earn a CPA certification/license simply by earning a college degree. According to the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) website, you should first determine where you plan to sit for the CPA exam, since the education and experience requirements to sit for the CPA exam* and to be a licensed CPA** are different for every state. As a result, Bay Path University strongly encourages that you review the CPA exam and licensure requirements and criteria in your state.

*Requirements to sit for the CPA exam by state
**Requirements to sit for the CPA exam and to obtain a CPA license by state.

The BPU MSA program is a 30 credit graduate program, and together with a 120 credit undergraduate program, meets the 150 credit requirement for licensure in all states.
