About Us
Master of Science in Communications and Information Management
Graduates from the interdisciplinary Master of Science in Communications and Information Management program will be expected to:
Articulate and apply theories and principles of information and communication analysis and design.
Analyze, design, implement, maintain, and evaluate problems/solutions in communication and information in business and professional contexts, including information system design, information management, systems management, website design and management, computer network design, professional and technical communication, training and development, advertising, public relations, education, and multimedia design and production.
Articulate the interrelatedness of rhetoric and information sciences, especially decision-making, human behavior in institutional settings, and the impact of advances in technology in communications.
Adhere to appropriate legal and ethical perspectives as specialists in communications and information management.
Apply appropriate research methods to problems in information and communication and evaluate solutions to problems.
Understand and apply principles and theories of communication and information in global and cross-cultural contexts.
Demonstrate knowledge of organizations, including fiduciary matters, as related to communication and information analysis, design, implementation, evaluation, and management.
