Certificate in Trauma-Informed Professional Practices - Boston Location

The Trauma-Informed Professional Practices Certificate offered through Cambridge College Boston at Bay Path University prepares educators and school-based professionals to recognize, understand, and respond to the effects of trauma on children and adolescents. Designed for teachers, counselors, administrators, support staff, and others who work in educational settings, this graduate certificate provides practical, evidence-informed strategies that can be applied immediately to create safe, supportive, and responsive learning environments.

Throughout the program, you'll explore the foundations of trauma-informed practice, including the causes and impact of trauma on students' emotional, behavioral, cognitive, and academic development. You'll learn how to identify signs of trauma, implement effective intervention strategies, collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams, and develop individualized support plans that promote resilience, healing, and student success. Graduates leave the program with the knowledge and skills to foster trauma-sensitive classrooms and better support the diverse needs of children in school communities.
