Honoring Professor Sheila Foley’s Legacy of Service

Bay Path University proudly celebrated Professor Sheila Foley, former Chair of the Justice and Legal Studies Program, who retired in 2025 after 23 years of dedicated service to the University.

In recognition of her scholarly contributions and commitment to Bay Path and its students, Professor Foley was recommended for emerita status by Dr. Natalia Blank, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and President Sandra Doran. This distinguished honor is reserved for faculty members whose careers reflect excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service.

In accordance with University bylaws, the Board of Trustees unanimously approved the conferral of Emerita status upon Professor Foley. As Professor Emerita, she will remain a part of the Bay Path community and will be invited to participate in official University ceremonies, including future Commencement exercises.
