Dr. Natalia Blank, Vice President for Academic Affairs, presented the 2025 Core Values Award, recognizing an individual whose work truly reflects the principles at the heart of Bay Path University. Our Core Values are more than words: they guide our actions, inform our decisions, and shape our aspirations every day.

The 2025 Core Values Award was presented to William Guida, Online Learning Librarian in the Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning. William was nominated by Christopher Gaudreau, Instructional Designer, who highlighted William’s exceptional leadership and collaborative spirit.

In his nomination, Christopher shared that over the past year, William played a critical role in integrating Bay Path University and Cambridge College’s online libraries into a single, unified resource for students, faculty, and staff. As part of this effort, the online library team transitioned authentication from EZProxy to OpenAthens, creating a simplified and more secure single sign-on experience aligned with the University’s IT infrastructure.

With the transition taking place just ahead of the Fall 2025 semester, William developed and implemented an automated process to identify, reformat, and update thousands of library links across the unified library and Canvas course pages. This innovative solution ensured the work was completed efficiently and at scale.

Through this work, William exemplified Bay Path’s Core Values by putting learners first, demonstrating innovation and excellence, and collaborating across departments including IT, Student Engagement, Academic Resources, and external library vendors.

Congratulations to William Guida!
