Students and Alumni Stories

Our students and alumni talk about their experience in the program and how it has affected their lives.

Jillian Bergstrom '23 G'26, a Master of Public Health student at Bay Path University, is applying her MPH training to advance women’s health education and menstrual equity for teenage girls. Drawing on experience in hospice care and public health work during COVID-19, she is developing culturally responsive menstrual health programming and raising awareness of endometriosis. In 2026, Jillian will complete a competitive, stipend-supported internship at Girls Inc. of Worcester through the New England Public Health Training Center, where she will update educational materials and expand access to essential hygiene resources. Her work reflects Bay Path’s hands-on, community-focused approach to public health education. Read Jillian's Story >

"The most rewarding part of my MPH journey thus far has been learning to view healthcare from various different perspectives and cultures. Learning about how health disparities can impact communities has helped me to shape a new mindset on how we can personalize change to help and encourage communities and families to grow happily and healthily together." - Katherine Comer G'25

"The MPH program gives me the tools to take what I’ve learned at the individual level and apply it more strategically to system-wide change. My public health education enhances my ability to integrate clinical, behavioral, environmental, and administrative strategies to improve care coordination, promote health equity, and drive sustainable Population Health initiatives and programs."  - Vivian Williams G'26

"After graduating with my MPH from Bay Path University, I feel I am prepared to make a difference in the health of my community! The MPH courses provide a solid foundation for a career in the public health sector while the practicum and capstone offer real-life experience with research and becoming a public health practitioner. " —Taylor Rich G'22

"I started my college career at Bay Path as a traditional undergrad and then completed the Master of Public Health program. Bay Path has a way of taking you in from their high quality faculty to their intimate classes where you feel you matter. Online, even though different from the on-ground experience, still has the same effect." -  Ysabel Garcia '18, G'21
