Wendy Norfleet, PhD
Dr. Wendy Norfleet is an award-winning leader and entrepreneur. She is the Chief Executive Officer of Norfleet Integrated Solutions, an organization that provides strategic, innovative solutions to scale businesses and grow leaders. Wendy’s strengths include extensive leadership experience, business knowledge, determination, creativity, and an IT background. She thrives on overcoming challenges, particularly those that benefit her clients.
With her extensive background in Information Technology (IT) and higher education, Wendy is well-suited to lead NIS. Dr. Norfleet started in entry-level IT positions and worked her way up to become Director of Information Technology, giving her firsthand experience in developing and positioning herself for future roles. After almost 20 years in the IT industry, Wendy transitioned to higher education. She held various positions in higher education, including but not limited to Instructional Designer, Adjunct Professor, Curriculum Development Specialist, Assistant Professor, Professor, Dean of Technology, and Interim Campus President.
She holds a BS (Davenport University) and MS (University of Detroit Mercy) in Computer & Information Sciences, a doctorate in Instructional Design (Wayne State University). She holds AI for Work and Life, Executive Coach, Business Coach, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workforce, and Lean Six Sigma certifications.
Dr. Norfleet is known for her dedication to giving back. Wendy serves as the current Program Chair of the Jacksonville Chamber IT Council, Education Chair for the Women Business Owners of Northeast Florida, Board Secretary for the Cathedral Arts Program (CAP), and she sits on the Small Business Development Council (SBDC) Advisory Board. In addition, she generously volunteers with Take Stock in Children and JDRF and is an active Leadership Jacksonville alumna. Wendy's leadership, service, and technical and business expertise have earned her recognition as a 2025 Women Business of the Year, 2023 Top Entrepreneur, 2021 Small Business Leader of the Year, and 2021 Corporate Vision Award for Best Business Consulting and Coaching Company in North Florida.
Dr. Norfleet is the author of numerous business and technology articles, and her two leadership books – Leading Without the Title: A Blueprint to Growing into Leadership and I’m a Leader: Now What? A Handbook for the New Leader – are available on Amazon.
