Nicole Newell, OTD, OTR/L
Dr. Nicole Newell, OTD, OTR/L, is an occupational therapist, educator, and clinical leader with nearly three decades of experience serving children and adolescents in school-based settings. She is an Adjunct Professor at Bay Path University and an Occupational Therapist and Fieldwork Coordinator with Henderson County Public Schools in North Carolina.
Dr. Newell earned her Post-Professional Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Bay Path University in 2024, along with a Certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders. Her doctoral work focused on developing an evidence-based continuing education course on trauma-informed care for children with autism in schools.
Her expertise includes autism, sensory integration, trauma-informed practice, and interdisciplinary collaboration in public school systems. Dr. Newell is nationally board-certified in occupational therapy and licensed in North Carolina.
