Jess Hicks is a mental health counselor and professor in the online master's program in clinical mental health counseling. She graduated with a B.S. in psychology from the University of Central Florida, an M.Ed. in elementary education from UMass Boston, and a clinical mental health master's from Bay Path University.

Jess is a licensed yoga teacher and reiki practitioner, and has held a variety of careers from teaching to marketing to massage therapy to Human Resources. She is a mom and lives in the greater Boston area. She is an avid crafter, reader, writer, hiker, meditator, and gamer. A lifelong learner, she is currently studying music composition and German.
