Gail Olmsted has been studying, practicing and teaching marketing her entire adult life. During her 16 years in the telecommunications field in a variety of marketing positions, she traveled extensively and managed sales teams and creative departments, working for organizations such as ESPN. Having earned a Bachelor of Science degree and her MBA, she chose to go back to the classroom when she and her husband decided to start a family.

Gail taught for 7 years at Western New England University and served as Assistant Dean in their School of Business. Preferring to teach fulltime, she made the switch to Springfield Technical Community College 17 years ago. She has taught Principles of Marketing, Principles of Management, Consumer Behavior, Advertising and Promotion, Retailing, Entrepreneurship, Sales and Sales Management and Event Management. She was the recipient of the Deliso Endowed Chair Award for Teaching Excellence and was named one of ’29 Who Shine’ by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Gail has published four books, all contemporary fiction and is completing her latest book which is historical fiction. She enjoys travel, reading, classic rock and water sports.
