From Campus Awakening to Commencement, the next four years will be filled with unforgettable memories, hysterical antics, challenging growth opportunities and momentous milestones. But remember, the college experience is what YOU make of it. At Bay Path, you’ll be part of a small community that encourages you to seize the day and to make it great.
Let’s introduce you to Campus Life at Bay Path College (BPC).
Bay Path has a number of beloved traditions that students look forward to every year including the mock “Miss Bay Path” pageant, Munchie Mania, Spring Week (featuring our annual Spring Gala and the Wacky Wildcat Challenge) , Father/Daughter Banquet, the Generations brunch, and Bay Path’s Got Talent.
In addition to Bay Path’s signature traditions, there are many other events waiting for you. The student event committee is always busy planning a semester full of entertainment, games, movies and outings. Our cultural series provides affordable admission and transportation to museums, theaters and dance performances each semester.
One of the best ways to connect with people on campus who share your interests is to join a student club or organization. We have many clubs at Bay Path that appeal to a variety of interests. Whether you want to learn to hold a gun (Tactical Team) or knitting needles (Knitting Club), there’s a club for that.
With 8 varsity sports, you can continue playing the sport you love or maybe take the brave step to work out for the first time in our state-of-the-art fitness center, now is the time to make your fitness goals and dreams a reality.
At BPC, we believe that college is the starting point to take inventory of your overall health and wellbeing. That’s why our Health and Wellness staff is here. Our counseling and health services team are available if you want to talk or just to check in with a medical professional. Learn tips on how to reduce stress, make good meal choices, or manage your busy schedule. If you are looking for a quiet place to reflect, pray or meditate, take advantage of our beautiful Reflection Room in Empsall Hall. It’s a great spot to clear your mind and get refocused.
Maybe your body, mind and spirit are healthy but your wallet is sick? Get financially well with Financial Pathways, a series of events designed to help women gain the knowledge and skills to manage their money.
Interested in learning more about the effect of your current sleep deprivation and its effect on your overall health? Want to reduce your carbon footprint? Extend your learning outside the classroom and attend our Kaleidoscope Series with a Fall and Spring line-up of feature films, lectures on current topics and discussion panels.
So, enough about campus life, get off campus and check out the surrounding area. Take our FREE Van Shuttle to nearby malls and restaurants. Just down the street from Bay Path are the Longmeadow shops where you can grab frozen yogurt with friends, do some shopping or relax with your favorite drink at Starbucks. Visit the museums (for FREE) at the Quadrangle in nearby Springfield or share a deep dish pizza at Uno’s by the Basketball Hall of Fame. 30 minutes north of Bay Path is Northampton named one of the “Top 25 Arts Destinations” in the nation by AmericanStyle magazine.
Maybe you’re looking to go further than 30 minutes away? At Bay Path, you can travel to other parts of the country to attend student conferences or take a history class on wheels called One America. Choose to study abroad to experience hands-on learning while being immersed in another culture. Travel to The Gambia in West Africa to work with our partners at the Sajuka School or take-off with BPC President Carol Leary, students and friends of the college to major cities around the globe with our annual Capitals of the World trip.
Women, this time in your life is specifically geared towards your development so that you can go on to become women who work, serve and improve the world around you. Use this unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take risks, to set goals, and celebrate achieving them.
Join the ranks of Bay Path graduates before you. Carpe Diem!
