Longmeadow, MA - The Chronicle of Higher Education has recognized Bay Path University in its Almanac of Higher Education 2019-20 as one of the fastest-growing
colleges in the United States, currently ranked 18th in the category of “private nonprofit
master’s institutions” with a 105.7% growth rate over a ten-year period (2007-2017).
Bay Path is one of only three included institutions located in New England, and is the only women’s college ranked in this category.

With an over 100-year history of providing innovative and career-focused educational programs, Bay Path both responds to the economic, cultural, and technological needs of the workplace to prepare students for success. The Employment Projections program at the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the expected fastest growing professions over the next ten years include occupational therapy assistants, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and genetic counselors, all professions that Bay Path has been preparing students for through their graduate programs.

“Bay Path University is committed to responding to the needs of the workforce and those of our students,” Bay Path’s President Dr. Carol A. Leary shared. “Being recognized for the fifth year in a row as one of the fastest growing private colleges is a tribute to our faculty and staff who continue to create diverse, entrepreneurial and relevant programs that give our students the skills they need to succeed.”

Data contained in the Almanac of Higher Education 2019-20 are based on fall
enrollment of full- and part-time graduate and undergraduate students during the span
of 2007-2017, including students that are online-only. The report included all U.S.
degree-granting institutions with at least 500 students in 2007. Published by The
Chronicle of Higher Education, the annual Almanac of Higher Education is a
comprehensive assessment of the higher education industry. It contains over 90 tables
of data providing a portrait of the nation’s multibillion-dollar higher education industry.

Mission-driven, Bay Path is continually developing programs that are career-focused,
filling a need for educated and trained professionals in our communities, regions, and
beyond. Information about Bay Path University and its degree programs is available
