STEM Edutainment Takes Center Stage at Bay Path’s Women’s Leadership Conference

Springfield, MA— Bay Path University has announced Margot Stern and Dr. Yael Schuster, founders of the Israel-based STEM edutainment company StellarNova, as the morning keynote speakers for its 24th annual Women’s Leadership Conference.

Created from a love of science and a “why not me” attitude about women in careers focused on science, technology, and math, StellarNova aims to bring the wonderment and excitement around science to children everywhere via books, science kits, and multimedia experiences. Stern and Schuster hope to inspire young girls to challenge the perception that scientists are only “old guys with crazy hair,” and to instead broaden their view to include the people they interact with daily – including themselves.

It’s the same message Bay Path has been delivering to women since the inception of their own STEM based degree programs, their Center of Excellence for Women in STEM, and their Women in STEM Honors Program – science, and science based careers, are for everyone.

Adding to the “why not me” discussion at the WLC are previously announced keynote speakers Mel Robbins, celebrated serial entrepreneur, best-selling author, life strategist, internationally recognized social media influencer and motivational speaker, and Rita Moreno, award-winning actress, dancer, singer, and winner of the grand slam of the entertainment industry’s most prestigious awards, the EGOT.

Conference attendees are also invited to participate in four breakout sessions focused on reimagining the narrative around women in leadership.

Now in its 24th year, Bay Path University’s Women’s Leadership Conference has garnered more than 23,000 attendees and featured more than 165 prominent speakers throughout its history, including Lena Waithe, Arianna Huffington, Barbara Walters, Dr. Maya Angelou, Nicholas Kristof, and Gloria Estefan.
