Bay Path University Launches $8,000 Visit Scholarship for Fall 2027 Students
New scholarship rewards prospective students who visit the Longmeadow campus and enroll in Bay Path’s traditional undergraduate program
LONGMEADOW, MA — Bay Path University has launched a new Visit Scholarship program, which will provide eligible prospective students who visit and subsequently enroll at the University’s Longmeadow campus, home to its traditional undergraduate women’s college, $2,000 per year for up to four consecutive years. The scholarship is awarded in addition to any merit scholarship for which the student qualifies.
Both first-time freshmen and transfer students are eligible.
Bay Path welcomes prospective students to visit the Longmeadow campus throughout the year at Open House events, daily campus tours, transfer information sessions, and other community events. The next Open House day will take place on Saturday, October 17, when visitors will have the chance to tour the campus, attend academic presentations, meet faculty members, and hear directly from current students during an engaging student panel.
“A campus visit lets prospective students experience what makes Bay Path distinctive,” said Reena Lichtenfeld, Ed.D., Vice President of Enrollment Management and Marketing at Bay Path. “They can see the empowering tradition of a women’s college in action, with women leading in the classroom, on the stage, and throughout campus life, building the confidence and leadership skills they take with them after graduation.”
Bay Path’s focus on campus visits comes at a time when colleges nationwide are investing more heavily in the experience. National research points to the impact that visiting a college can have on prospective students. According to the research and ranking platform Niche’s 2025 Fall Senior Enrollment Survey, 70% of students enroll at the college where they had the best visit. A 2025 Prospective Family Engagement Report from strategic enrollment and fundraising firm Ruffalo Noel Levitz found that 97% of families said seeing a campus in person shapes their college decision.
