Bay Path Hosts Information Session on New Treatment Option for Depression and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders

Longmeadow, MA— A new treatment for major depressive and obsessive-compulsive disorders has arrived, and Brian Smith, MD, neurologist, sleep specialist and Chief Technology Officer for Achieve TMS East will be at Bay Path University on April 24 to share information on this emerging treatment.

 

This free talk on Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is directed towards anyone who may have an interest in new medical developments or who may be interested in this treatment option for themselves or a loved one. Medical knowledge or experience is not needed, and all interested are welcomed and encouraged to attend.

 

Dr. Smith will be covering the history of brain stimulation in psychiatric disorders, the current FDA approved uses of TMS, and future treatment options for neuropsychiatric disorders.
