Today’s the day: for nearly 150 first-year and transfer students comprising Bay Path University’s Class of 2022, a new journey begins.

Vehicles of all sizes, packed to the brim with essentials for campus life, are rolling into Deepwood Circle, ready to be received by eager Orientation Leaders, lending a hand in the unloading, carrying, and settling in process.

In addition to our residential college students who plan to live in the dorms throughout the semester, a number of commuter students have elected to live on campus during WELLcome Week—an exciting time filled with activities and information sessions that help students transition to college life by forming relationships and preparing for rigorous academics.

The goal of the WELLcome Week is to create a pathway to ease students into college life while developing community and common bonds of friendship. Activities span a community welcome ceremony, which offers students an opportunity to meet senior administrators, faculty, staff, and student leaders; Novelty Night, encouraging students to make items that are hands-on and creative; icebreakers and team-building exercises; interactive workshops based on Claiming an Education by Adrienne Rich; diversity training; outdoor movie night; guided mindfulness meditation; Multicultural Block Party, and more.

WELLcome Week will culminate on Monday, August 27th at 5:30 am for the Bay Path tradition of Campus Awakening, a community-wide gathering ushering in the first day of classes.

To the Class of 2022, welcome to Bay Path! Adventure awaits.
