Meet Victor Turner….
When Victor Turner '26 logs into class from his home in Georgia, he’s not just another online student. He’s a SAG-AFTRA actor, a personal trainer, an aspiring television producer, and now, a soon-to-be accounting graduate of Bay Path University.
Victor is completing his final semester in Bay Path’s online accounting program while balancing multiple careers in entertainment and business. His path to this moment has been anything but traditional.
From Georgia to New York
Born and raised in Georgia, Victor grew up alongside his identical twin brother. When representatives for Tommy Hilfiger, a premier American fashion brand, were scouting for new talent in the state, the Turner twins caught their attention. With their parents’ blessing, the brothers left college and moved to New York City to pursue modeling.
Modeling quickly opened doors to acting, launching a 15-year career in the entertainment industry. Victor has appeared in television roles including Chicago Med and recently completed work on the upcoming film Judgement Day, starring Will Ferrell and Zac Efron.
But even amid a successful acting career, Victor felt the pull to return to school.
A Return to Learning and a New Vision
Through a SAG-AFTRA partnership program that began with Cambridge College, Victor is now Bay Path University’s online accounting program (Bay Path acquired Cambridge College in 2024). He and his wife made the decision to return to school together to earn their accounting degrees. It was a commitment rooted in long-term stability and lifelong learning.
Now living in Atlanta, Georgia, Victor represents the modern adult learner: building multiple careers while pursuing higher education remotely. “Remote learning and working are the new reality,” he notes.
One course proved especially transformative: the Google Project Management course taught by Dr. Maura Devlin, Dean of Institutional Effectiveness and Accreditation. The class provided Victor with a structured framework he immediately applied beyond accounting. Using project management principles, he and his twin brother developed and refined a concept for a television series they are preparing to pitch.
“It gave me a roadmap,” Victor shared. “I was able to take a creative idea and build it strategically.”
Accounting in the Age of AI
After 15 years in acting, Victor’s return to accounting reflects both practicality and adaptability. He recognizes how rapidly industries, including accounting, are being impacted by artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
For him, earning his degree is not just about adding credentials; it’s about staying agile in a changing world.
Already he has plans to apply to graduate school and sees education as a lifelong pursuit, one that complements his creative ambitions.
Advice for Adult Learners
Victor understands the hesitation many adult learners feel when considering a return to school. His advice is simple but powerful: don’t let fear hold you back.
“Failure is part of the process,” he says. “You grow through it.”
Balancing acting, personal training, producing, and academics has required discipline and resilience, but it has also reinforced his belief that it’s never too late to pivot, expand, or begin again.
Victor Turner’s journey—from Georgia to New York runways, from television sets to online classrooms—embodies Bay Path University’s commitment to meeting adult learners where they are and helping them build futures that are as complex as they are.
And for Victor, the credits are still rolling.
