Bay Path University presented a check in the amount of $50,000.00 to the Town of Longmeadow for the purchase of a Quint fire truck.

“Bay Path is delighted to partner with the Town of Longmeadow on the purchase of this fire truck,” Michael Giampietro, the University's vice president for finance and administrative services, said. “Longmeadow is our home, and it’s important to us that we help in any way we can to support initiatives like this that make the local community an even better place to live and work.”

The Quint truck is equipped with a 78-foot aerial ladder, ground ladders of various lengths, a water tank, hose, and pump—features that set it apart from a standard truck and enhance the town’s ability to respond effectively in the event of an emergency.

“We are incredibly proud of the vehicle, and especially of the community effort to get it. The new Quint fire truck is a game-changer for the capabilities of the Longmeadow Fire Department and will ensure a safer Longmeadow community,” Fire Chief John Dearborn said.
