ALLI Program Gives New Wildcats a Head Start

For the 14th year, Bay Path University welcomed incoming students to campus through our Academic Learners and Leaders Initiative (ALLI), a program designed to help new students begin college with confidence, connections, and a sense of belonging.

Students from Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Texas arrived early to participate in workshops focused on leadership, artificial intelligence, research, academic writing, math, communication, and media. They also explored campus, learned about Bay Path’s support resources, and began building relationships within the University community.

In a post-program survey, 100% of participants strongly agreed that ALLI increased their understanding of Bay Path’s support resources and how to use them effectively. Every participant also indicated that the experience helped them feel more prepared to succeed in college.

The program was led by Dr. Peter Testori and Erin Boutin, with support from Emily Adamites, Dr. Brenda Hardin Abbott, Dannielle Croft, Ramona East, Dr. Sheila Foley, Vicky Gruneiro, Michele McGrath, Miriam Neiman, Dr. Gillian Palmer, and Melissa Welch.

Thanks to their work, Bay Path’s newest Wildcats are beginning their first semester knowing people, knowing where to turn for support, and knowing they have a place in the Bay Path community.
