Sudeep Aulakh, MD

Medical Director, Clinical Professor

Dr. Sudeep Aulakh joined the Bay Path University Physician Assistant (PA) Program as the Medical Director in September 2011. She brings experience and passion for excellence in medical education to the University's PA Program.

She obtained her medical degree at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Baystate Medical Center, Tufts University in Springfield, Massachusetts. She subsequently completed a Fellowship in General Internal Medicine at Rhode Island Hospital, Brown University School of Medicine in Providence, Rhode Island.

Dr. Aulakh has held leadership positions in medical education for over a decade. She is currently the Director of Ambulatory Education for the Internal Medicine Residency Program as well Co-Director of the Primary Care Residency Program at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. She oversees the ambulatory education of approximately 60 internal medicine residents. Her areas of interest are curriculum development & implementation and competency–based progression & assessment, as well as, inter-professional training.

Dr. Aulakh has multiple publications and contributes annually to Ferri's Clinical Advisor. She has presented on innovations in medical education at national and international meetings.

Dr. Aulakh also enjoys practicing internal medicine at an inner city health center, caring for a complex population in an interdisciplinary team model.
