Shumaila Taha Jaffrey, MSc, BCBA®, LABA

Adjunct Professor/ABA Supervisor

MSc. ABA, Bangor University (Wales)

Shumaila Jaffrey is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst® and has been in the field of ABA since 2008. She became interested in behavior analysis from a background of business administration while working as a therapist in what was the first centre providing ABA services in Saudi Arabia. Since then, she has pursued her love of the science while working with children and young adults with autism and other developmental disabilities in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and obtaining a Master of Science in ABA from Bangor University, Wales (2010).

In addition to direct care and program development, Shumaila has worked extensively in training behaviour therapists and parents as well as on-going collaboration with administrators and speech language pathologists. Her professional interests include parent training, supervision and guiding students towards an understanding of the theoretical and practical aspects of the science of ABA. She has supervised SLPs and undergraduate students preparing to take the board certification exam and enjoys providing workshops for parents and professionals. She has also volunteered with international efforts to expanding autism support services and hopes to continue reaching out to areas with limited services.

On the side, Shumaila is passionate about traveling, scuba diving and painting, and has six amazing nieces who she hopes to inspire and support.
