Adjunct Professor

BA, University of Massachusetts, Amherst; MS, Nova Southeastern University, EdD, Nova Southeastern University

Dr. Melissa Saunders has dedicated her career to ensuring that children and families have access to high-quality, evidence-based, and effective supports. In addition to her love of training and teaching, a big part of Melissa’s interest in working with students at the graduate level is to contribute to the development of future leaders and clinicians of behavior analytic services. Melissa’s research interests are primarily centered on exploring the impact of behavior analysis in various critical areas: early intervention, supervision, leadership, OBM, clinical integrity, sustainability, environmental protections, dissemination of the science, professional discourse, and the use of AI.

In addition to her role at Bay Path University, Melissa serves as the Chief Operating Officer for a multiservice organization across Connecticut (CT) and Massachusetts (MA). She is also the co-owner of King’s Speech and Learning Center in CT.

Outside of her professional life, Melissa is passionate about animal rescue, with a special focus on fostering cats and kittens—a cause close to her heart.
