Laurie Bonavita, PhD, BCBA-D, LABA

Supervisor and Clinical Instructor

MS, Elms College; PhD, Chicago School of Professional Psychology

Dr. Bonavita began working with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder close to 30 years ago, and her love of the science of applied behavior analysis (ABA) began soon after. She received her doctorate in ABA from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, and her passion for research grew at that time. She has completed research in the areas of health, sport and fitness, and diversity in supervision and functional analysis. Completing research projects with her students is one of her favorite things. Laurie has worked in several different settings, including early intervention, schools, clinics, and insurance-funded settings. Her interests are the dissemination of the science of applied behavior analysis and its application to what might be considered 'atypical', such as health sport, and fitness and diversity in supervision. She holds the OBM specialist certificate and extensive experience in functional analysis.
