Maestro Rhodes takes the stage again at Bay Path University, bringing musical education and fun to the surrounding communities as part of a series called Rhodes Talk (created in 2013 in partnership with Bay Path University’s Kaleidoscope Series). Joining Maestro Rhodes will be Kirsten Hadden Lipkens, Education Director for the Springfield Symphony Orchestra, Kirsten has been a professional oboist and teacher for thirty years. She holds degrees in performance from The Eastman School of Music and Yale University School of Music. Her love for musical education and performance began at a very young age and led her to teach private lessons for students of all ages, and lead workshops introducing classical music to a broader audience. Her passion then led her to instruct Music Appreciation at Western New England University for over a decade. Kirsten has been a substitute oboist for the Springfield Symphony for the past 14 years.
