The Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) and How They Impact Healthcare will be presented by Marie Meckel, Assistant Professor in the Bay Path University Physician Assistant Studies program.

The Social Determinants of Health are now being identified as a major cause of unnatural death and disease in this country. Race, sex and social economic status have a huge impact on health and health care. This presentation will discuss the SDOH impact on health care and ultimately on health policy.

We will focus on how we can help alleviate the disparities and address the health care of those in this country who are most vulnerable.
