Dr. Michaels has been working in the field of Psychology for over 15 years. With experiences ranging from inpatient, outpatient, psychiatric day treatment, psychological assessments, individual, group, and couples therapy, he has a breadth of clinical knowledge.

Dr. Michaels wrote his doctoral dissertation on non-suicidal self injury, and worked for 7 years in psychiatric emergency services.

His current professional focus is on the development and improvement of behavioral healthcare programs from a risk management perspective. He works full time as a Clinical Manager for a non-profit agency in the Boston area.
