Steven Dethloff, MSN

Steven Dethloff is an advanced practice nurse who has worked in nephrology for over 20 years. With experience in all modalities of renal replacement therapy, he currently provides education to patients experiencing chronic kidney disease as well as manages a home therapies program. Over the years, Steven has received numerous awards for his contributions, served on quality improvement committees, served as a research consultant, published several case studies, and in his free time, has worked as staff member for Dialysis at Sea, providing dialysis for patients traveling on cruise ships.

Through Steven’s experience as a graduate teaching assistant as well as his experience educating patients, he discovered his passion for teaching which led him to his role of adjunct faculty at TAWC. Steven especially enjoys learning from his students and witnessing when students experience that “a-ha” moment when a particularly difficult concept really clicks and suddenly makes perfect sense.
