Professor Decorti Rodgers-Tonge comes to Bay Path University with an abundance of energy that she aspires to convey to all students who have an opportunity to take her courses. She is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts/Amherst earning a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Professor Tonge continued her education and obtained a Master's in Accounting and Taxation (MSAT) from the University of Hartford and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Western New England University.

Prior to joining Bay Path, Tonge worked for more than a decade in the accounting profession. She started her career in public accounting at PricewaterhouseCoopers, a Big 4 accounting firm and shortly thereafter moved into the private accounting sector. She rapidly worked her way up through the corporate ranks and managed auditing of operational, compliance and financial functions at large corporations such as CIGNA Healthcare, Travelers Insurance and Voya Financial. During her tenure at CIGNA, she was a prominent contributor of building the newly required Sarbanes-Oxley program and was distinguished for her contributions. She has also been recognized throughout her career for the various training and coaching methodologies that she was employed within Audit. This background affords Professor Tonge an opportunity to share her perceptiveness and experiences on a variety of organizational risk and accounting requisites that will allow students to correlate their studies to real life experiences.

In her spare time, Tonge has a passion for educating individuals on the life changing benefits of obtaining an education. She also enjoys hosting cooking events for friends and family, doing home improvement projects, camping and traveling.
