Instructor

BA, Seton Hill University; MBA, Seton Hill University; EdD, Nova Southeastern University

Dr. David Brant, Director of Graduate Admissions and Instructor in the Master of Higher Education Administration program, joined Bay Path University in 2014. Prior to joining Bay Path University, David held a variety of administrative and teaching positions at Saint Francis University, Seton Hill University, and Pennsylvania Highlands Community College. His administrative responsibilities have included developing transfer and articulation agreements, enrollment management, academic advising, corporate outreach, marketing, and retention. Throughout his many roles, David has worked extensively with diverse populations of learners in varied sociodemographic categories and has strived to provide services that best meet identified student needs while anticipating the large growth of the institution.
For David, understanding the challenges of non-traditional learners has been an area of great interest both as a practitioner and a scholar. As a member of a research team funded by the Lumina Foundation, he examined the increased marketability of degree completion on non-traditional learners, which led to state and federal funding through the Workforce Investment Act. This passion further inspired his research on Locus of Control as a construct for persistence in adult college students. David is a lifelong learner focused on continually challenging himself and his students.
