Spring Reopening Update

Join Us In Being A Tobacco- and Smoke-free University!

As of July 1, 2018, Bay Path University is officially tobacco- and smoke-free on all our campuses.

Bay Path University is joining the ranks of hundreds of colleges and universities across the country to become a tobacco- and smoke-free community.  In just a few years, the number of colleges and universities adopting a policy to have a healthier campus has more than quadrupled from 446 in 2010 to over 2,000 by the end of 2017.

Our tobacco-and smoke-free initiative began with Bay Path students who submitted a proposal to promote health and wellness on all our Bay Path campuses. A committee was formed to help in the transition to a living, working, and learning environment protecting all of us from secondhand and other toxins that impact our surroundings.

What will this mean?

The use of any tobacco products including cigarettes, pipes, smokeless tobacco, e-cigarettes/vapes, hookahs, or any other device simulating the use of tobacco will be prohibited on the university grounds, including:

  • Indoor and outdoor property, land and buildings (University-owned and leased)
  • Parking lots
  • Athletic fields
  • Vehicles on University grounds
